Servings: 4
- 14 oz Extra Firm Tofu Crumbled, shredded, or cubed
- 1½ tbsp Soy Sauce or Tamari
- 1 tbsp Neutral Oil, like Avocado Oil
- 1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1½ tsp Garlic Powder
- 1½ tsp Onion Powder
- ½ tsp Sea Salt
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Optional, this is for color
Preheat the oven to 425℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a reusable silicone pan liner.
Cube, crumble, or shred the tofu and add to a mixing bowl. There is no need to press tofu, will dry out while cooking
Add the soy sauce or tamari, oil, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, black pepper, and turmeric to the tofu. Gently toss the tofu to distribute the seasoning mix evenly. Once mixed, set aside and let marinate for 15 minutes.
Place the tofu in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, pull the tofu out, and mix up tofu to get an even bake. Place back into the oven for another 15 minutes or until it has reached your desired level of crispness
Add to salads, sandwiches, soups or enjoy as is.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 4 to 5 days
