Tips For The Best Tofu Chicken
For the best results, follow these simple tips to perfect your Tofu Chicken every time:
- Use Firm or Extra-Firm Tofu: For the best texture, always use firm or extra-firm tofu. This type holds up well during cooking and won’t crumble as easily.
- Season Well: Don’t skip on seasoning the tofu! The tofu itself is fairly neutral, so it’s important to pack it with flavor using herbs, spices, and sauces.
-
Marinate for Flavor: Let your tofu marinate for at least 15 minutes to ensure it absorbs all the flavors. The longer you marinate, the more flavorful your tofu chicken will be!
-
Preheat Your Oven or Pan: Make sure your oven is preheated to ensure even cooking, and if frying, make sure the oil is hot before adding the tofu. This helps to get a crispy, golden exterior.
-
Avoid Overcrowding the Pan: When frying or baking, avoid overcrowding the tofu pieces. Give them enough space to crisp up evenly without sticking together.
